As much as pugs can be similar in personality and looks to each other, they are such incredibly diverse and distinct characters.  Here are just a few ways ours are different from each other:

Cooter Ellie Mae

Cooter is the head of the household.  He keeps tabs on everyone and everything.  He looks out for his pack with style and grace and rules with gentle but decisive hand.  He is loving, kind, anxious to please and will sit the farthest away when treats are handed out, being the obvious "good boy" out of the bunch.    When someone is sick, he'll bring them his favorite toy, sure that it will make them feel better... and it usually does :)

Ellie Mae is sweet, gentle and feminine.  I call her my little butterfly.  She needs lots of pink things - pillows, collars, etc, but just don't make her mad.  Once the line is crossed, she will emphatically bark so hard that all 4 feet will bounce off the ground at once.  And the recipient will know exactly what they've been told!  She is also our groomer.  She'll lick anyone's ears, wrinkles, faces.  They seem to love her ministrations and I love the time it saves me from doing the same!

Isabella   Jolene

Available

Isabella is the one who really wants to give cats a hard time.  She also just recently found the tootsie rolls in the kitty litter (ugh).  She is independent and will someday rule the world for sure, but she also gives the best kisses out of the group.  Not too much, not too little... just right.  She will also carry round food containers with her.  All pugs love rubbermaid and tupperware, but Isabella will carry weird things like corel bowls, glasses, and stainless steel bowls.  If there is a piece of dinnerware in an unusual place in the house, there is no doubt who put it there!

Jolene is our first true blue show dog, but she didn't quite make the cut for the ring, so she is available for placement.  She comes from Firehouse Pugs and has many great names in her line, most recently Double D's.  She is courageous, outrageous, and as ornery as they come.  So far her most distinguishing trait is as a hoarder.  If she thinks she can, she'll steal all the toys and stockpile them.  If only I could make her think the toybasket was a good place to put them all back!

Rizzo

Fabio

Beautiful and sassy, she brings excitement wherever she goes.  And is very inventive when home alone unless crated!!

Fabio is a wild maniac.  He knows how to jump around and drive you crazy, then when yelled at cocks his head and stares deep into your eyes, hypnotizing you into believing he is innocence personified.  He drives me the craziest, but he has me wrapped around his little paw and knows it.  No matter which chore I'm working on, he'll be on my feet with his latest treasure, chewing away, and occasionally flash me those beautiful eyes.  If he were a person, I'd already have signed him up with an agent!

Bandit

Also from Cooter x Daisy, Bandit lives with relatives and has won the hearts of all who have met him.  He's sweet, cuddly, smart, was easily housetrained, and is maturing with a beautiful clear fawn coat.  Bandit is busy being an adolescent male.  There are so many things in the world to discover and so little time to do it!  He will flit and flutter, trying to see, sniff and experience all that life has to offer.

Retired Pugs

Petunia

Daisy

Petunia is a family member, but not part of our breeding group.  She is a neck-warmer.  And she takes loving unmentionables to the extreme.  She'll stand guard over a pair of underwear and growl all the others away like it's the prize of the century.  In fact, one time I could hear her crying but couldn't find her.  The silly girl had knocked a laundry basket over and it fell on top of her.  But she got her underwear!

Daisy loves to fall asleep with a plush toy in her mouth.  When she's done playing, she'll plop down with it and fall asleep with it in her mouth, supporting her like a pillow.  She's not much of a morning person and a great cuddler at night.  She is my heart and soul and the alpha female.  If given the opportunity, she is also the most creative instigator although it looks like Izzy may take over that position one day.  She is also the flea barometer of the house.  When the frontline is starting to wear off, she will invariably get the first flea, then bark at her butt, alerting me to the problem.  Needless to say, we take care of that right away!

TIKI

Available

Tiki doesn't jump on you.  Amazing, I know, but she is actually a polite pug!  She waits her turn and is unobtrusive and doesn't expect much out of life.  Which makes me want to make her life that much better!  She is one of the few pugs I know who would actually be happy in a one-dog home with a person there to love her and care for her.
